Trimley Railway Station

Facts and Figures

Trimley railway station is in the village of Trimley St Mary, near Felixstowe, in Suffolk, England, and also serves the adjacent Trimley St Martin. The station is situated on the Felixstowe Branch Line 15.64 miles (25.17 km) east of Ipswich.

It was opened by the Great Eastern Railway (GER) in 1891 and built to a design by its chief architect, W. N. Ashbee; it was one of only two stations outside Essex to be built in the New Essex, or Ashbee, style. A branch line for goods trains to the Port of Felixstowe was opened in 1987. Passenger trains in 2012 are operated by Abellio Greater Anglia.
